Jaguar launched the XF (X250) range in 2007 with the usual variants – S, Portfolio R etc. In 2013 they launched what was at the time the most powerful saloon car they had ever Built, the XFR-S. Using the XFR as the base most features of the car were upgraded. They developed an additional 34bhp from the engine and remapped all of the Gearbox/differential/suspension settings to produce ground-breaking performance whilst actively ‘reading’ the driver input to further enhance the performance provided. Additionally they developed an aero pack for the car which, apart from its visual appearance, improved stability and reduced lift at high speed by 68% over the XFR variant. Carbon fibre was used on the front and rear diffusers, the rear wing blade (an optional delete), and also the interior trim. The armrests and seat surrounds also incorporate a carbon weave effect within the leather. Larger discs are used to stop the car although, the brakes themselves are standard. The Varuna 20inch wheels are unique to the model and the exhaust has an X pipe system replacing the under-floor mufflers.
