Drive Out Day June 2014

On 29th June 2014 a group of Sporting Bears enjoyed a drive out day expertly organised by Hugh Jackson. Starting from the picturesque Fradley Junction on the Trent and Mersey canal the group drove on a variety of country roads through pleasant countryside and villages towards Asbourne. From there we continued on towards Thorpe, Dovedale and Ilam and on through attractive Peak District settings to reach our eventual destination at the Crich National Tramway Museum where a late lunch was taken. Older cars were allowed down into the museum area. Members enjoyed the attractions of the museum and rides on the trams (not sure if this counts as a Dream Ride). An excellent day in good company.
