Coventry Festival of Motoring 2014
On Sunday 24th August we gathered at Stoneleigh Park at the Coventry Festival of Motoring
to provide Dream Rides in aid of Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
We were please to welcome Bears from near and far for what proved to be a very successful
and enjoyable day - even the weather was good!
A variety of cars from the 99 year old Model T Ford, an Austin Seven and the Willys Jeep
to nearly new Porsche and Lotus cars gave the generous public lots of opportunities for Dream Rides.
Our friends Mick and Wendy from Zoe’s Place were with us as their preparations continue
for the Coventry to Paris sponsored cycle ride.
A splendid flypast by a Hurricane and a Spitfire took place.
The Merlin engines were doing their best to outshine the glorious noise of the
De Tomaso Pantera in the Bears' car park.
The Festival seemed to be even better attended this year and is now a regular fixture for the Midlands Bears.
An excellent day in good company.
